tecton - not sure how familiar an renown philosopher from Slovenia is with Steven Holl's pamphlet...or whether he cares particularly... maybe he credits him in his book.
I am bemused at how an architectural conference can be so theoretically ambitious and still come back to the old familiar thematic grouping of 'Young Guns'...seems we can't escape the fads

All depends on where you stand in contemporary debates of critical praxis. Seemingly except a few in this country most participants have no clue about the philosophical let alone architectural connotation of "parallax." There is also no mention of Steven Holl who published a pamphlet with the same title. Did the organizer's tried to invite him? Or is he not too "radical" for the Aussie young bloggers!
I enjoyed some aspects of the last year's conference. It was good to hear diverse and opinionated voices on assorted issues delivered by participants from different regions of this country. How many architects and academics are invited from Sydney to participate in this year's conference?!

No I am not attending!

The reason I have decided not to attend is the theme!.

Fantasy and facebook are idiotic issues to be discussing during these times!

I greatly enjoyed the last conference, and look forward to attending the next one after this.

I love the lineup, and after last year's conference, which I enjoyed, I had intended to be at this one, but they priced me out of the market, espcially factoring in the cost of flights from NZ.
