Lionel Bawden wins the Wynne Prize

Lionel Bawden wins the Wynne Prize for his topographic carved pencil sculpture “The amorphous ones (the vast colony of our being)”. The Wynne prize, awarded annually, has the excellent entry criteria of being for “the best landscape painting of Australian scenery in oils or watercolours or for the best example of figure sculpture by Australian artists”.
