The Projects page has been updated with a couple of new projects. The Cardboard Cubby House which was up on the page a couple of weeks ago, and two small interior refurbishment jobs that were completed towards the end of 2007.

- End the Architect’s Complex, Pay Your Interns. (As far as I know) the practice of not paying staff does not occur in Australia, but what a horrible thought; working in an already underpaid profession – for free.

- That is quite a runway you have there. An extraordinary suspended slab airport runway at Funchal Airport, Madeira.

- Richard Johnson Awarded the RAIA Gold Medal. Good to see a practising architect given this award after the last few years of long retired practitioners. Johnson of JPW has been responsible for many fine buildings in Australia.

- Google Sky. Like google maps, only looking up, not down.

- Puddleblog. The splendid meeting of failed hydraulic infrastructure and topographic surface deformation.

- NSW State Government is looking into offering free train travel before 7am. It seems like a good incentive to get a few more cars off the road.

- Visualisation of all of earths air and water as spheres shown at the same scale as Earth. There does not appear to be much of either.
