A big day for Sydney Infrastructure

Wednesday, 19th March 2008 permalink

A big day for Sydney Infrastructure. The NSW State Government yesterday disclosed its plan for a $12bn Metro rail link connecting the CBD with the North West with an underground metro line. This, however is at the expense of The Metropolitan Rail Expansion Program which would have eased congestion on the existing heavy rail system. Also, on the same day, the backers of the Lane Cove were talking about writing off their investment in the tunnel dues to significantly lower volumes of traffic than expected.
